CONGRATULATIONS !
Knowing the right number to call takes you over half way to the next step - booking the artist you need.
Before you dial though, just a few pointers to help you choose the right person to call and the right approach for your particular request.
You know what you want but is it what they want?
Bear in mind with popular stars, their representatives are often fielding HUNDREDS of inquiries from dozens of territories across the world.
What makes yours so special?
Think carefully how you are going to pitch your request.
Explain why your pitch is "special" preferably with facts and figures then do your homework and find reasons why the celebrity may actually care.
What value does the engagement truly hold for them ?
How will it enhance their profile, visibility, credibility, bank balance, career and life?
If on consideration, your request doesn‘t appear to have any link to the artist don‘t worry. A clearly written plain and simple letter can often work miracles. The late Princess Diana was a patron to some of the most unlikely small organisations and Madonna has been known to agree to unusual interviews because she finds the presenter fashionable, amusing or interesting.
If the first answer is no - always find out why. It could be "no" today but a sudden change in schedule (or your offer) may mean that a star who was "no" yesterday is "yes" today. |
